Lost in the Game

Billion dollars in your bank or A Day more in your Life? Maybe it’s an Easy Decision for Some.

Being a Bright kid from School Days, I always had the curiosity to learn about New things and make something Big in Life. I did not dream about a Big House or a Big Car. I always believed that Technology had been served to me at my feet without making me struggle through its Complexities.

Hard work is what I believed in. For me, there were no Shortcuts in Life. I remember days wherein I missed my lectures. Not because I wanted a break, but because there was a Regret that I wouldn’t be able to understand what was being Reciprocated due to my Failure or Lack of knowledge in that Subject.

I was left with Two Roads.

One that prompted me to give up and explore on those that find my interests. The other was pretty disturbing and difficult. It demanded me to Struggle and Succeed through my Weaknesses.

I choose the latter.

I never considered myself inferior to anyone. A task that I did not excel in, only made me madder to fight for. It was always like someone threw a challenge at me, trying to open doors to mysterious aspects of my life.

Emotions were always a strong aspect for me. It was strange that I did not discover this until I landed up in college.

According to me, college was a place where I could make amazing inventions and discoveries. A place where I could have fun and totally be myself. It was about sports, academics and friendships. Was I right?

Partially, Yes.

Initial Days of College seemed tough. I felt alienated many times. I still remember running to my home just to tell my mom and dad, how much I loved them. Unintentionally, we all hurt our parents in one or the other ways, but it is those times of isolation that make us realize their true value in our lives.

College made me understand that there will always be people that will find shortcuts or easy ways to get their work done, but a hardworking individual will always gain whatever he/she is looking for in a long run. There were times where I became mirrors to my surroundings, but my strong value system, sailed me through easily.

10 Things I have learnt from my life:

1. Believe in yourself. If you doubt yourself, then you can never achieve your dreams and ambitions.

2. Hard work is always the way to success.

3. There will be times when you will see your peers succeed, but remember these times are just to see how strong your foundation is. How tough are you? Do you believe in yourself and your capabilities? Are you willing to work much harder?

4. Money will come your way, don’t run behind it. Make yourself worthy of the money.

5. Gain skills. Gain knowledge. Just Don’t gain Ego.

6. Control your temper and channelize it to productive activities.

7. Don’t lose the kid in you.

8. Be inquisitive

9. Be creative.

10. Last but not the least, take opportunities that come your way even if you don’t feel it right.

I am not the most successful person in the world, but these are my takeaways from life. For me, success is not measured by money, success is measured by how many people you can inspire.
